TWITTER is one of our most important communication tools.
It's not difficult to use. A "tweet" is simply a short text message.
You can have updates & reminders sent to your cellphone, Facebook, or eMAIL.
In an effort to save on postage, we are using our website & twitter almost exclusively.
We might text out: "the retreat forms are now available online."
To get weekly text-messages, text the words "follow 7n8" (no quotes) to the number 40404.
You can stop getting TWEETs at any time by texting "leave 7n8" to 40404.
You might be asked to give a name (real or fictitious) to label your account.
This is how we will communicate in case of inclement weather or last-minute changes in programming.
We try to only text announcements & updates once a week.
It is especially useful if your student is on a retreat because I can text,
"the busses will pull into the church parking lot in 15 minutes."
To see our past TWEETs ... visit www.twitter.com/7n8
We will probably not "follow" you back,
or respond to messages sent through Twitter.
For us, this is a one-way communication tool.
We've named the account "7n8" because XZONE is for 7th & 8th graders.
Once XZONE becomes a 6-8th grade program next year, we might re-label our account.
You can sign up with www.feedmyinbox.com
to have our TWEETS sent straight to your eMAIL rather than your cellphone.

I'm sure that since I wrote this, Facebook and Twitter has updated their services.
There are probably dozens of ways to integrate & receive our weekly announcements.
